At JP Elite Designs, we specialise in turning complex ideas into compelling visuals — and this project was a perfect example. We were commissioned to create an immersive 3D design and animation for the Ortho-Care Vac #1 Vacuum Forming Machine, a trusted solution for producing high-quality dental aligners and retainers.
Our goal was simple: transform a technical piece of dental equipment into a clean, engaging visual story that showcases its precision, reliability, and innovation.
Concept Development We began by mapping out the machine’s full user journey — from sheet placement to heating, and finally vacuum forming. The concept focused on clarity, hygiene, and efficiency, reflecting the values behind the Ortho-Care brand.
3D Modelling & Texturing Every component was modelled with care and precision. From the aluminium alloy casing to the infrared heating element, we used photorealistic textures to replicate brushed metal, plastics, and glass — giving the final visuals a polished, lifelike finish.
Lighting & Rendering To reinforce the product’s clinical and professional qualities, we used a clean lighting setup with dynamic camera angles and smooth transitions. The final render is crisp, aspirational, and technically accurate.
Animation Highlights The animation walks viewers through each step of the process:
• Sheet Placement – round or square blanks positioned with precision
• Infrared Heating – visual glow showing rapid, even heating
• Vacuum Forming – the sheet moulding seamlessly around the dental model
• Final Reveal – a perfectly formed aligner, presented with a fresh, professional finish
As part of the client’s request for captivating visuals to support their wider marketing campaign, we also created a bespoke X-ray vision graphic. This layered visual offers a semi-transparent view inside the machine, revealing its internal components and heating mechanism in action. Designed to spark curiosity and provide a deeper understanding of the technology, it’s ideal for brochures, web content, and social media.
We’re proud to say that these assets were featured in several major national and european professional magazines, helping to boost visibility and reinforce the Ortho-Care brand across the dental and orthodontic sectors.
